My approach to therapy is always informed by you. Sometimes the initial task of therapy involves helping people believe that change is possible-that we are able to change and grow perhaps after many years of being stuck. Others may benefit from processing events from their past in such a way as to help them derive new meaning and purpose from the things they have survived and lived through. Still for others it could be about re-evaluating deeply held thoughts about themselves, the world, and the future that could lead to increased joy and personal happiness. Or maybe it’s about learning new strategies to change old habits and behaviors. Likely, it is a little of all of the above.
